Encouragement

You were never meant to carry it alone.

Two ways to be encouraged — together on Zoom, or one-on-one with Hank.

Why this exists

Almost everyone is carrying something. Almost no one says so.

Some people come here because they're hurting and tired of pretending they aren't. Others come because they genuinely want to get better at loving the people around them, and they've discovered that wanting to isn't the same as knowing how.

Both belong here. In practice they turn out to be closer than they look — learning to love others is one of the most reliable ways a person heals.

Hank has spent thirty years doing this, starting from his own brokenness. He is not a therapist and doesn't pretend to be. He's someone who has walked a hard road, refuses to flinch at yours, and knows what actually helps.

Two ways in

Choose what fits where you are

One is a room of people discovering they're not the only one. The other is an hour with your name on it.

Option one · Free

Group Encouragement on Zoom

A live hour with a small group. Hank teaches something short and practical from the 80 Love Challenges, then it opens up — real questions, real struggles, from people who are in the same place you are.

Most people arrive convinced they're the only one. They leave knowing they aren't. That shift, by itself, does more than any advice.

Good for you if: you want encouragement without being the center of attention, you're not sure where to start, or you'd rather listen for a while first.

Free to attend. Give if you're able and it helps — never required, never asked twice.

Option two · Limited spots

Personal Coaching with Hank

One hour, one-on-one, about your actual situation — the relationship that's stuck, the pain you haven't said out loud, the person you want to love well and don't know how.

You set the agenda. Hank listens first, asks real questions, and you leave with something specific to do — not just a good feeling that fades by Thursday.

Good for you if: you want focused attention on your own situation, you've been carrying something alone for a while, or you're ready to actually change how you show up.

$100 per session — one hour, by Zoom or phone.
Four sessions, $350 — because change usually takes more than one conversation.

Sessions are limited so each one gets real attention. If cost is the only thing standing in your way, say so. Nobody is turned away over money.

“Why is one free and the other isn't?”

Fair question, and the answer is simple. The group sessions are free because no one should have to pay to be encouraged, and because a room full of people is exactly what most of us are missing. Personal coaching has a fee because there is one of Hank and only so many hours — and the fee is what keeps those hours available to the people who genuinely need them.

Nobody is ever turned away over money. If that's the only obstacle, say so.

How it works

What actually happens

1

You reach out

Tell us which one you want and one or two lines about what's going on.
It does not have to be articulate. Hank reads every one of these himself.

2

We find a time

Group sessions run on a set schedule.
Personal sessions are booked around your week, including evenings.

3

You talk, Hank listens

No script, no worksheet to fill out, no performance required.
You set what the hour is about.

4

You leave with something to do

Not homework — one specific, doable next step.
Usually smaller than you'd expect.

5

You're not dropped afterward

You can come back to a group session any time, and Hank follows up.
That's the whole point of the word Framily.

Being straight with you

What this is not

This is not therapy, and Hank is not a licensed counselor or a medical professional. He won't diagnose anything or treat anything. What he offers is encouragement, perspective from someone who has been in the dark himself, and practical help learning to love the people in your life.

If what you're carrying needs professional care, Hank will say so plainly and help you find it. That's not him passing you off — that's him caring about you accurately.

If you are in crisis right now

Please don't wait for a session.

If you or someone you love is in danger, call or text 988 in the US to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Any hour, any day. Someone will answer.

You are not the only one hurting. That is the single truest thing on this entire website.

Start with one message.

You don't have to know what you need. You don't have to have the words. Just say something.
